My Portfolio
This section of the site highlights various portfolio work I've done over the last several years. Just mouse over the links to the right to see a partial screen shot and description of the project listed.
Camp Canine USA, LLC
Camp Canine is a great resource for anyone looking for world class training and in-home care for their four-legged kids. They are also a wealth of information to help pet parents solve problems. The challenge with this project was to create a professional and informative, yet extremely friendly website that would be easy to use. As a growing business, they didn't want to "break the bank" putting together their online presence. I was able to assist them in creating the Camp Canine USA "brand", and incorporated this brand into the new website in an affordable, timely manner.
SPROUT Raw Food
Jackie and Gideon Graff, the hearts and minds behind SPROUT Raw Foods, needed a high-quality, mutifaceted website to sell their products, classes, prepared raw foods, and provide information about the vegan raw food lifestyle. I customized and incorporated several existing open-source products into a cost-effective, cohesive website that includes a shopping cart, message board, blog, calendar, photo gallery, and many other features. The design was intended to be professional, warm, inviting, and evocative of earth and animal-friendly foods that nurture the body and the soul.
Suncraft Solutions
"We need the site yesterday". This was the opportunity provided by the staff at Suncraft. I delivered their site on-time, under budget, and even included a logo, business cards, and peripherals as a bonus.
Small Dog Rescue's
Mutts and Putts Golf Tournament
I originally created Small Dog Rescue and Humane Society's logo - the dog "Kyle" as part of my volunteer work for them. They periodically have me update Kyle for the season of the year or upcoming special event. When they contacted me to ask for a "Golf Kyle", I said "how about a website for the golf tournament too?"

They responded - "Sure, but we need it by the end of this week".

Done!
Aspira Enterprise Consulting Group
A fast, affordable website for a Microsoft Partner and Reseller. I created the entire concept around a small logo sample provided by the client. The concept is fresh, strong, and somewhat cobranded with Microsoft, while maintaining their individual brand identity. The timeline from concept to delivery was less than three weeks while working full-time on other projects.
Small Dog Rescue and Humane Society
This is a work in progress that I am doing in a volunteer capacity for some of my very favorite people and pups. The image to the right shows the completed, approved design concept. The site, when finished, will be an engaging, easy to use, cutting edge site that will help the rescue not only share news and information about their furry friends in need, but manage the back-end "business" all rescues must tend to on a daily basis.
Willoughby, Ohio
Youth Football League
I created this website in partnership with NetworkCafe, who did the php installation of pre-packaged open-source Simple Machines Forum, Calendar, and Photo Gallery. I then customized the interfaces to fit the WFL brand. NetworkCafe tweaked the registration form, and voila - an affordable, fast, user-friendly website for the Willoughby Ohio Youth Football League.
Melissa Ferrick
Listen Hard
An older flash website created for Melissa Ferrick's 'Listen Hard' CD release. The site utilizes actionscript and XML to handle the tour schedule and online journal. All artwork, photo treatments, and flash animation is my original work.
MaxCommerce Website
This is the flash home page I created for MaxCommerce (my employer at the time). The page is non-functional now, but it is a good example of smooth animation that accentuates the concept and is not just gratuitous "flash" for the sake of "flash". Links are non-functional.
Georgia Department of Corrections
This site is, to put it plainly, massive. With hundreds of pages (over 500) in many, many categories, the challenges with the GDC site are many. Design-wise, upper management plays a very active role in determining creative elements. This can provide interesting opporunities to work around issues created when someone who does not have a design background enjoys getting involved in the design process. I am responsible for the information architecture and all user-interfaces for the external public internet sites and internal intranet for the GDC. The agency serves over 15k employees, houses and manages more than 150,000 individuals. The web site receives more than 3 million hits/month.
GDC Jobs
This site is an extension of the Georgia Department of Corrections website, and handles all employment listings realted to the GDC. The same challenges apply as mentioned previously with Georgia Department of Corrections.
